I'm proud of you.

Pakistani prime minister, Shaukat Aziz, is currently on an official visit to Norway. This is the first time a sitting Pakistani prime minister is visiting our country. I guess one of the reasons why the Pakistani prime minister chose to come to Norway in the first place, was to visit the large Pakistani community here. Earlier today, accompanied by our own prime minister, Jens Stoltenberg, he met members from the Pakistani community at a reception in a downtown Oslo hotel. In his speech to the audience he thanked the Pakistanis for being good ambassadors for his country, and for building bridges between the two nations.

Our prime minister also gave a speech. In front of full audience of Pakistanis he had the nerve to utter the following deceitful statement:

“Norway would be a poorer nation without you (Pakistanis). In work and business, in private and public sector. We’ve become a richer nation, both culturally and economically, because of you.”

I’m not sure if drinks were offered, but I’m pretty sure that wasn’t the case, it being a Pakistani event. And that means that our prime minister has no real credible excuse for lying his teeth off. Because that’s what he did. To claim that the Pakistani community in Norway have helped improve our nations economy is such a blatant lie and a gigantic exaggeration, that it borders on contempt. Norway is a rich country because of the labours and toil of former generations of Norwegians, and not because of some illiterate Pakistani immigrants.

Our prime minister, and a lot of other politicians doesn’t seem to understand that certain criteria must be met, if immigration is to be successful, and that’s just in pure economical terms.

* For starters, the immigrants coming to this country would have to have a higher employment rate than the native population. They don’t.

* The immigrants would have to receive less government hand outs and benefits than the native population. They don’t.

* The immigrants would have to start working earlier and retire later than the native population. They don’t.

* The immigrants would have to be more law abiding than the native population (crime costs money). They’re not.

* The kids of the immigrants would have to outperform the kids of the native population. Anything else would be a drain on our educational budgets. The immigrant kids do not outperform the native kids in school.

The Pakistanis in Norway are outdone by Norwegians in every aspect of life, apart from when it comes to committing crime and receiving welfare handouts. In this aspect the Pakistani community outperform the native population by far. Just because some Pakistanis are employed as cabbies, bus drivers or run a corner shop, does not mean that they’re indispensable to our society, or that this country will fall to pieces should these people leave. Jens Stoltenberg should take this bit of wisdom to heart.
