Pledged half a million kroner ($90 000 US) to the Islamic counsil.

Minister of Culture and Church affairs, Trond Giske (Labour Party), met with representatives from the Islamic Counsil today. The two parties came together, so that the MP could learn more about the work of the counsil and establish a better dialog between the two. The Islamic counsil left the governmental building with the promise of a 500 000 kr increase in their yearly budget.

- The Islamic counsil have up until now had a yearly budget of 60 000 kr. It was therefore decided that from 2007 the counsil should receive 500 000 kr on a yearly basis from the government, said Giske to Dagbladet after the meeting.

The leader of the Islamic counsil, Mohammad Hamdan, was all smiles after spending an hour with Giske.

- We are pretty content with the outcome of the meeting. For us it’s important to improve the dialog with the government in order for us get to know each other better.

From now on the two parties will meet on a regular basis.

The meeting touched upon several topics, and one of them was how muslims in Norway can adapt to Norwegian society.

- I’ve said on previous occasions that we need a reformation of Islam, but it’s important not to generalize. We need to keep in mind that no muslim are alike, just like no christians are alike, said Giske.

Hamdan agreed with him.

- We need to remember that muslims in Norway hail from 30 different ethnic groups. The Islamic Counsil support a modern interpretation of Islam, and it is our view that muslims in Norway needs to respect Norwegian law.

Both parties were reluctant to comment on the Mozart opera in Germany, that was canceled due to fear of violent reactions from muslim communities.

- I’m a supporter of freedom of speech, including statements that challenges, but this freedom also brings with it responsibilities, said Giske.

- What are your personal thoughts about the cancellation of the Mozart opera?

- I haven’t got the propper knowledge to comment on this specific incident, but on a general basis I can say that I believe freedom of speech is very important, and especially in art. It is uncomfortable when a theater feels the need to cancel a play due to fears, said Giske to Dagbladet.

Hamdan is also very cautious in his comments.

- I don’t wish to comment on this specific incident, but we’re not supporters of limitations on freedom of speech, but I agree with Giske that one needs to be responsible and respectful.-

So you are a defender of freedom of speech Hamdan? That wasn’t the impression the Norwegian people got when Norwegian embassies were attacked and Norwegian flags were burnt in the middle east at the height of the cartoon “crisis”. If you are, what you say you are, a defender of freedom of speech, then why do you refuse to comment on the Mozart “crisis”? Maybe because deep down you’re not a defender of freedom of speech after all?

Catholic church vandalized.

Police in Mosjøen have no suspects after the Catholic church in the city was vandalized and received a threatening letter last weekend.

The main window in the church was smashed when a cobblestone was hurled at it late on Friday night.

When the collection basket was emptied after Sunday mass, a letter with the following text was discovered, “Kill the Pope and all Christians”. According to local chief of police, Anbjørn Falkmo, there is reason to suspect that the two incidents are linked.

Falkmo says the police are treating this as a very serious incident.

- We have the letter in our custody and we’re going to hand it over to Kripos (special police unit) to see if they can come up with any leads. We are also in the process of calling in witnesses and hopefully get to the bottom of this, says Falkmo. -

Arfan Qadeer Bhatti

Norwegian newspaper VG have now released the name and picture of the main suspect in the embassy bombing plot. His name is Arfan Qadeer Bhatti. I uncovered his identity a couple of days ago (he have appeared in several newspaper interviews on earlier occasions, so putting two and two together was fairly easy), but I chose not to reveal this information due to legal implications.

Well anyway here’s the picture of the terrorist.

I don’t care if the security guards die

- I don’t care if the security guards at the American embassy die. They’re on American soil, so I don’t care about them.-

This is what the 29 year old male, accused of plotting to attack the American and Israeli embassy, said in a conversation that was wiretapped by Norwegian police last August.

The court in Oslo said in a statement on Saturday that there is substantial reason to believe that the accused were planning to go ahead with the attacks, and not just simply talking about it.

The 29 year old and his accomplice drove past the US and the Israeli embassy when they talked about killing the security guards at the American embassy.

I’ll take out the entire building.

The two of them discussed explosives, weapons and prices in these conversations. Other details were also discussed. They were going to prevent the police from pursuing them by throwing nails on the road. They were also referring to a metal barrier outside the American embassy that had to be destroyed. They also studied the surveillance system outside the embassy. They even discuss which lawyers to get if the attack should fail.

Here’s some of the conversation. (the dots indicates unitelligable parts)

- ...The problem then is to shoot them, they won’t enter as a group ...... So they arrive at different times ..... arrive in groups .......And when they’re leaving, they’re not leaving together ..... If they arrive together then ...... to hit eight or ten ....if you know what I mean, then it would work ...... doesn’t move as a group ..... then shoot..... maybe one or two, would work.... So the only thing I thought was, heck let’s take out the entire building.-

Attack against the synagogue.

Further along in the conversation they discuss throwing hand grenades at the embassies.

- Don’t care if the security guards at the American embassy die, they’re on American soil, I don’t care about them.-

The conversation also suggests that there are several people involved in the plot.

- I have three yeah? Four with you, says the 29 year old who is believed to have had an affair with a female TV journalist in TV2 (Norwegian TV channel)

In the conversation they also discuss the attack against the synagogue.

- ...when I strike against the synagogue ..... one grenade, maybe two .... the same night you know ... -

Three of the four suspects accused of planning to attack the embassies were jailed on Saturday and placed in solitary confinement from two to four weeks. The fourth suspect was released.

Norwegian government coalition party SV (Socialistic Left) wants dialog with Taliban.

There’s a widespread consensus among SV politicians that sending Norwegian soldiers to fight the Taliban won't bring about peace.

According to NRK (Norwegian broadcasting corporation) it’s the opinion of the SV that NATO should initiate peace talks with Taliban and local authorities.

- Sending more troops to Afghanistan will only cause a war, dialog with the enemy will bring about peace is the popular view among members of the SV.-

Not very realistic

The opposition parties at the Storting (Norwegian parliament) do not believe that this will become the official Norwegian policy in this area. Chairman on foreign affairs in the FRP (Progress Party) Morten Høglund is amazed.

- SV is voicing their opinions about some very sensitive issues in Norwegian foreign policy and NATO strategy in the fight against the Taliban. It is impossible to relate to such outbursts at the present stage. I’m awaiting the foreign ministers response to what is the official Norwegian foreign policy. If I was respond to all the bizarre statements coming from the SV, I’m afraid it would be more circus than real politics, says Høglund to Magazinet (Norwegian newspaper).

Best of luck

KrF MP (Christian Democrats) Hans Olav Syversen smiles at the information.

- I wish the foreign minister all the best in dealing with a coalition party that doesn’t agree with the official foreign policy, says a cheerful Syversen

- The Taliban are, and will always be terrorist.-

A quick news update.

Four men arrested for planning terror acts.

The American and Israeli embassy in Oslo are believed to have been the prime targets for the four individuals arrested in connection with the synagogue shooting in Oslo last week.

Police believe that the four men aged from 26 to 29 had made plans to attack the American embassy in Henrik Ibsens gate and the Israeli embassy in Parkveien, or alternatively neighbouring buildings and embassy staff in the near future.

Deny charges.

All the suspects deny the serious charges brought against them, according to sources VG has been in touch with. Due to the ongoing investigation and matters concerning national security, the court proceedings will not be open to the media.

Want more Pakistani immigrants.

Islamabad (VG)

Minister of labour and integration, Bjarne Håkon Hansen (Labour Party), is working closely with Pakistani authorities to increase Pakistani immigration to Norway.

Among veiled women in the male dominated society of Pakistan, Mr. Hansen is bragging about how well the Pakistanis in Norway have adopted to their new life.

In a meeting with Pakistani foreign minister Zafar Ibqal Warriach in Islamabad yesterday, Hansen discussed how Pakistan and Norway can cooperate in increasing Pakistani immigration to Norway.

Lack manpower.

The Pakistani MP was very interested to know if Norway could take on more qualified immigrants from Pakistan, and he got a positive response.

- I’m personally involved in this project. I’ve already discussed it with the Pakistani ambassador in Norway, and I’m eager to help establish contacts between the Pakistani embassy and Norwegian companies that need skilled workers, says Hansen to VG.-

He points out that Norway has a shortage of workers, and that immigration from EU countries simply won’t be enough.

Good role models.

- It is not a question about whether we’re going to have an active immigration policy in Norway, we need to have an active policy in this area. The question we need to ask ourselves is whether we’re going to recruit from specific countries. I believe that recruiting from Pakistan is a wise decision, says Hansen.-

Even though Pakistan has a big problem with forced/ arranged and cousin marriages, and the existence of honour related killings, Hansen still thinks that Pakistanis in Norway are well integrated.

- They are among the best integrated immigrant groups in Norway. They have adopted to the Norwegian labour market, they are educated, their kids are attending school and their English is good. Ten percent of the politicians in the Oslo city counsil are Pakistanis. Pakistanis are in many ways role models when it comes to well integrated immigrants in Norway, says Hansen.

Only skilled workers

Today there are approximately 30 000 Pakistanis living in Norway. Hansen is convinced that this will ease the integration process for newly arrived Pakistanis.

He wish to emphasize that it’s only skilled workers he’s after, and that Norwegian companies will have to offer them a job before they can apply for a resident visa.

Hansen is also aware that work related immigration will increase family reunifications from Pakistan.

- Yes, in the long run that’s true. Any form of immigration will increase family reunifications, Pakistan is no exception says Hansen.-

HANSEN, YOU ARE A FUCKING LIAR!!

Shots fired at synagogue.

Police are searching for an armed individual, after several shots were fired at the Jewish synagogue in Oslo last night.

Armed police officers sealed off the area around the building in Bergstien 13, in St. Hanshaugen, after the shooting that occurred around 2.30 am Sunday morning.

Police security was also strengthened around the Israeli embassy with armed police officers put on guard, and the establishment of a one hundred meter perimeter between the embassy and a neighbouring park.

No one was hurt in the incident.

Several shots were fired at the synagogue, from what police believe to be a sub machine gun. The walls are visibly scarred with several bullet holes, and a smashed window, according to the police.

- We could see three or four bullet holes in the facade next to the David star, says Scanpix photographer Morten Holm to NTB (Norwegian news acency).

- The police was still at the scene at 7.30 am Sunday morning.-

The synagogue was empty at the time of the shooting. The building is owned by the Mosaiske trossamfunn (Mosaic community).

- The incident was reported to the police by nearby witnesses, says Bjørn Ølstad, who’s in charge of the investigation.

Several witnesses have so far been questioned.

- At the present stage we’re only looking for one perpetrator, says Ølstad.-

He refuses to comment on whether the police are looking for specific individuals or organizations in connection with the shooting. Witnesses spotted a red car driving past shortly after the shots were fired. The police are currently looking for this car.

- Very sad and scary.-

Anne Sender, head of the Mosaiske Trossamfund in Oslo, says the incident is sad and frightening.

- This is the latest of several events that have occurred this summer, and it has had a profound effect on us. It’s not every day that shots are fired at a place of worship.-

Last month a person defecated on the steps of the synagogue and smashed two windows.

Sender was on her way to the synagogue to inspect the damages when she spoke to Aftenposten this morning.

- At the present stage I have no further information says Sender, who was informed of the shooting shortly after the incident took place last night.

The mosaic community requested extra surveillance after last months incident. That wish was not granted. After tonight’s incident this wish have become more compelling.

- We need do something about the security of the building says Sender, who says she will spend this Sunday discussing security solutions with leading politicians.

Dear decision makers.

A copy of Hege Storhaug's latest book “Men størst av alt er friheten” (But greatest of all is liberty), about the consequences of immigration, have now been sent to all members of the Norwegian parliament, to all political counselors in Oslo and to the entire city council of Drammen. This is a translation of the letter that was included with the book.

Dear decision makers.

Oslo, september 12, 2006

The immigration and integration debate is a difficult and highly important matter. We are three socially aware citizens who have been admiring Hege Storhaug’s work for years. She has finally written a book about the consequences of immigration and its many challenges, and it is our wish that as many people as possible read this book.

A lot of attention has been given to the many, and very substantial problems, related to this immigration. We are of the opinion that these problems will keep on growing if we don’t review our policies in this area. But the political debate about this change of direction need to be based on the most credible and truthful facts. We have therefore bought some copies of the book “Men størst av alt er friheten” (Bur greatest of all is liberty) which we are sending to important decision makers in Norway. The book is in our view an unafraid and truthful fact-book about immigration and integration.

Regards,

Inge T. Sørensen

Islam will cause the collapse of democracy in Europe.

Hege Storhaug, public spokesperson for HRS (Human Rights Service) and a strong critic of islam, has written a book about immigration and its effects on Europe. The title of the book is “Men størst av alt er friheten” (But greatest of all is liberty).

In an interview with Dagbladet (Norwegian newspaper) today she says that islamism is the greatest threat to secular democracy in Europe. She calls it a totalitarian ideology and compare it to nazism and fascism.

- I feel like screaming from the top of my lungs how important it is to defend the wonderful liberty that we enjoy here in Norway and Europe.-

The headscarf is a symbol

Storhaug who herself has been the topic of many heated debates, believes that it is the women who’re at the center of the battle for the soul of Europe.

- The islamists use the headscarf as a tool in their fight to strengthen their position in the public arena. The more women they can convince to use the headscarf, the more power they get. The headscarf that the feminists ignore, is a very important symbol, and an omen that totalitarian forces have grown in power.-

Storhaug refers to a survey done in a heavily immigrant dominated neighbourhood in France, where 77 percent of the women asked revealed that they wore the headscarf to avoid problems with the islamists.

Islamic nation in 2100.

She knows that her book is controversial, and admits that it has cost her a lot to write it.

- It has been mentally hard to write the book, especially because it involves the destinies of women and children with muslim backgrounds.-

She says that children, youths and women with muslim backgrounds have been stripped of their human rights. In the book she compares the hijab as a symbols, with other powerful symbols, such as the swastika and David star, and warns that Europe could end up as a muslim continent in 2100.

- If the politicians doesn’t introduce strict measures to restrict immigration and strengthen integration, the problems will just keep on piling up and in the end they will become unsolvable. In 2100 we may have a situation where Europe is an extended branch of the Arabic continent with a muslim majority population. If we end up with Euro-islam or secular islam is uncertain.-

Culture

It is mainly islamic culture that preoccupies Storhaug.

- The consequences are that the immigrants themselves loses fundamental rights. Female circumcision, honour related violence, forced marriages and women who are forced to live in intolerable marriages. Young boys are also forced into such marriages. We see more and more people being stripped of their most basic human rights.

She is also concerned about the dangers of expressing critical views about islam.

- Our freedom of speech have been limited. Today hardly anyone dare speak their mind on islamism and islamic holy symbols, such as for instance, the founder of islam, Muhammad. People run the risk of being physically attacked just by using their freedom of speech, and that in itself is a step in the wrong direction.-

Do you personally know any individuals who’ve been attacked because of their scepticism towards islam?

- I know people who’ve been beat up, but they are immigrants who’ve been attacked by their own. I haven’t heard of any attacks on Norwegian intellectuals who’ve spoken against islam.

The responsibility lays with the politicians.

Storhaug blames the social-democratic politicians for the difficult situation Europe is in at the moment.

- The social-democrats are the arcitehcts behind the multicultural project that eventually will cause the collapse of democracy. They started it in the early seventees. They bear the responsibility for the unworthy conditions that a growing number of women, teenagers and children with muslim background live under.-

She says that the tradition among non-westerners of importing partners from their own countries needs to be stopped.

- I want to see measures introduced to end the tradition of bringing home partners from non-western countries. We need to follow in the footsteps of Denmark, because it is this tradition that have destroyed the integration process in Europe. We will never see real integration before this problem is solved.-

Some good news.

Prime minister Jens Stoltenberg and the Labour Party (AP) lose voter support in recent poll.

The Labour Party receives 24.5 percent of the overall votes, while the Progress Party (FRP) receives a whooping 35,5 percent in VG’s (Norwegian newspaper) latest party poll.

The support for Jens Stoltenberg is currently the same as it was in 2001, when he considered introducing cuts in employee sick pay, during the run up to the national election. The Labour Party had a poor election result that time and ended up with only 24,3 percent of the votes.

Chairman of the FRP, Siv Jensen, is very happy with the result of the poll, where the FRP has a ten percent lead over the Labour Party.

-This is a powerful blow for Jens Stoltenberg. I believe a lot of voters feel betrayed by the government coalition. The fact that the government is willing to take money from the sick because they need money elsewhere is shameful says Jensen to VG.

The result for the other parties.

Conservatives 16,4 percent

Christian democrats 5,1 percent

The Left 3,1 percent

The Socialistic Left 6,5 percent

The Center 6 percent

The Red Election Alliance 2 percent

Others 1,1 percent

2000 girls forced into marriage

Around two thousand girls of foreign origin living in Norway have been forced into arranged marriages in the last two years. This is a qualified estimate made by special advisor Terje Bjøranger, head of the UDI’s (home office) task group that specializes in combating forced marriages and honour related violence.

This shocking number was presented at a conference for the police and social services in Stavern yesterday.

Despite the very high number of forced marriages, and almost ten years of action plans to combat these marriages, little has been done to help the affected girls.

- Next to nothing have been done, and we’ve simply ran out of places to hide the girls, says Gunnar Svennson, member of the task group and special advisor on issues related to ethnic minorities at Sentrum Police station in Oslo.

Violence and death threats.

In two cases of forced marriages in Drammen, the local police had to send the girls to Sweden to give them proper protection and qualified help.

- We couldn’t find a place in Norway, says Nina Bjørlo, chief of the crime prevention department at Drammen police station.

Two Kurdish girls had been physically assaulted and received death threats from their cousins and brothers to enter arranged marriages that their families had organized.

* A seventeen year old girl was forced into a marriage while on summer holiday in Iraq, after having received death threats from her father and brother. The father was sentenced to two and a half years in jail, and the brother for two years, in what was the first conviction against such marriages in Norway.

* A sixteen year old girl was forced into a marriage while on summer holiday in Iraq. The girl has since disappeared in Iraq. The police have no knowledge of her whereabouts or what have happened to her. Her father has been charged with facilitating a forced marriage, and the police have made a recommendation to the district attorney that a criminal case is brought against him.

Lack of resources.

Not even the members of the UDI’s special task group are focusing on forced marriages on a full time basis. We simply haven’t got the resources to protect all the girls who’re threatened with murder for refusing to enter these marriages. The majority of the work are carried out by volunteer organizations and private individuals, without any form of public support.

- The situation can be compared to Rotary being given sole responsibility for working with rape victims. Citizens safety is a government responsibility, says Terje Bjøranger.

Economic importance.

In Sweden, several hundred million kroner ( Tens of millions of US dollars) have been invested in building shelters for these girls, and a lot of people are employed by the government to look after these victims.

The majority of the girls who’re forced into these marriages are from Pakistan and Kurdistan (northern Iraq). Most of them are young, some of them no more than fifteen.

The marriages have big economic implications for the families involved, and are often part of bigger arrangements between the families.

- In some cases the marriages have even been agreed upon before the girl were born, says Terje Bjøranger.

And the authorities in this country still try to convince us that the muslims in Norway are moderates....

No to citizenship

If you arrive in Norway as an asylum seeker or a skilled migrant, you will automatically lose the right to apply for Norwegian citizenship. This is one of the many new proposals coming from the FRP (The Progress Party).

- It’s not an indelible right to become a Norwegian citizen, says MP Per Willy Amundsen, spokesman on immigration related issues for the FRP. He’s heading the party’s immigration commission, a workgroup that are looking at the criteria for granting citizenships.

Must be repatriated.

In his view, political asylum should only be considered as a temporary arrangement. That means that asylum seekers will eventually be sent back home.

- It is the view of the FRP, that people who have been granted asylum in Norway, will always be eligible for repatriation?

Yes, says Amundsen. Provided the situation in their own countries stabilizes, they should be repatriated. This also goes for asylum seekers who’s been granted asylum on humanitarian grounds.

- A lot of asylum seekers end up living in Norway for years, and perhaps even develop stronger ties to Norway than to their native countries. Isn’t it wrong then to repatriate them?

- I see the predicament, says Amundsen. But we should always strive to act in the best interest of the nation. Sure, you can always feel sympathy for these individuals, but the Storting (Parliament) has a responsibility to look after the national aspect of things, and be in control of the transformation of our society. He admits that it is a controversial proposal. Tougher measures will be introduced, and some people will probably regard these as too strict.-

Not finished.

He points out that the committee still hasn’t finished it’s recommendations. This will happen later on in the autumn. The FRP committee is also considering, denying Norwegian citizenship to skilled workers from areas outside the EU.

- But surely, this will lead to differential treatment? An Indian computer engineer, who arrives as a skilled migrant will never become a Norwegian citizen. But if his spouse arrives on a family reunification, she could then become a Norwegian citizen after seven years?

- According to our proposal, the spouse will never be granted the right to apply for a Norwegian citizenship either, or parents for that matter, says Amundsen. He reveals that the FRP will introduce measures to curb family reunifications, and that these measures are inspired by the current Danish laws. Married couples who wish to live in Norway must show that they’ve spent more time in Norway, than abroad. To prevent forced marriages, an age limit of 24 should be established when bringing partners home from abroad. Marriages between cousins should be banned, and DNA testing must be used to detect possible family ties. A partner should also be able to support the spouse economically.

Written tests.

The FRP will also introduce written exams in Norwegian language, culture and society understanding, for all those who wish to apply for Norwegian citizenship. The immigration laws of today are simply not sustainable. We need to put on the brakes, and exert stricter control, says Amundsen.

The committee estimates that the immigrant population in Norway, with the current policies, will reach close to 2 millions in 2060. This figure is based on calculations carried out by the SSB (Norwegian Bureau of Statistics). The committee’s recommendations will be presented as a private proposal to the Storting (Parliament).

Won’t this proposal complicate possible collaborations with other political parties?

-That may be the case. But, it’s unthinkable for the FRP to “sell out” on this issue. The Conservatives (Høyre) need to understand that we’re not willing to do everything to get into government position. -

To demand of asylum seekers that they return home, once the situation in their own countries have stabilized, is only logical. In Norway today, political asylum has become synonymous with immigration.

Planned attacks on ex-wife.

A twenty eight year old woman has been physically assaulted by unknown and masked assailants on three separate occasions.

The court case against a 29 year old man started to day in Oslo Courthouse. The man who’s accused of masterminding the attacks pleaded not guilty to the charges made against him.

- We had a very poor relationship at the time, this was mostly due to discrepancies over our daughter, but I would never have gone so far as to hurt the mother of my own child, said the twenty nine year old when questioned about the first assault.

Father spotted at the scene of the crime.

This attack occurred on a crowded Oslo street in April 2004. According to the charges, the twenty nine year olds ex-wife was attacked by a masked assailant who hit her over the head and on her body. The woman lost consciousness and suffered a concussion in the incident.

The father of the accused was spotted in the area at the time of the attack, but he’s not been charged so far. Last June the woman was attacked for the second time, also this time on a crowded city street. The woman had just dropped off her five year old daughter at kindergarten, when an unknown man, most likely of Pakistani descent attacked her.

- I was very surprised when I heard about it. Perhaps some of my relatives arranged the attack, I don’t know. They were not happy about our divorce. Or perhaps it was someone who’s out to hurt my family, said the twenty nine year old Bosnian.

Asked for sugar.

At the end of June this year, the ex-wife of the accused was attacked for a third time. This time the incident occurred in her own flat in Oslo. According to the prosecutor, an unknown woman knocked on her door and asked if she could borrow some sugar. The woman told the ex-wife that she’d just moved into the building. When the twenty eight year old returned with the sugar, she was attacked by two masked men, who hit her repeatedly with baseball bats. The woman suffered several broken ribs and was badly bruised in this incident.

- I was visiting my family in Sweden at the time, and I was very surprised when I learned of the attack. In fact I was shocked, because by then we had a reasonably good relationship, said the twenty nine year old from the stand.-

Prior conviction for violence.

The suspect has a prior conviction for violence and intimidation against his ex-wife, who’s also from Bosnia. The accused has also breached a restraining order on an earlier occasion. The couple was formally separated in 2000, and divorced in 2004. They got married in 1999.

The ex-wife of the accused will appear in front of the court at a later stage. A recorded interrogation of the couple’s daughter will also be played before the court.

Hmm... The accused has probably had a very difficult childhood, and chances are that he’s been severely traumatized in the civil war in Bosnia. If we’ll only give him yet another chance and increase his benefits, I’m sure he’ll stick to the straight and narrow in the future.

And by the way..

Thank you politicians for creating such a wonderful society. The Norway of the past was truly an unbearable, violent hellhole. Wouldn’t want to go back there again.

Immigrant party established in Oslo

Norway’s first immigrant party was officially established in Oslo last Sunday. The party’s first goal is to recruit candidates to run in next autumn's local election in Oslo.

Party chairman Mohan Singh Varma has been involved in politics for a long time. He was a city counsil member from 1984 to 1991. He’s represented The Conservatives (Høyre), The Labour Party (Arbeiderpartiet), The Progress Party (Fremskrittspartiet) and the Center Party (Senterpartiet).

-The established political parties doesn’t listen to the small minority groups. They only listen to the big minority groups.- says Singh Varma to NTB (Norwegian News Agency).

He says that his party will act as an information tool that will help immigrants find their way through the Norwegian bureaucracy.

- We are going to be a political party for people who come from a minority background, but we’re also welcoming Norwegians who wish to run as candidates for us in the next local election, says the chairman.-

Varma says there was a big turn out at the opening meeting, and that there was a broad consensus for establishing a political party, after an open and candid debate

- We promise to be a party for everybody, and not just for a certain specific groups. We’re going to be a party for the masses.-

In a press release that was sent out after the opening meeting, the party points out that immigrants in Norway has been given a lot of negative publicity, and that it’s about time that both the majority and minority population accepts the necessity of an immigrant party in Oslo.

Possible future scenarios for Europe.

A scenario that has been widely debated over the last decades is a possible muslim takeover of Europe within the next 30-40 years. It has become somewhat of an academic puzzle for the political correct elites, a question that must be discussed, but not taken too literally. After all, according to this elite, the muslims will eventually integrate into our societies, provided we treat them properly and give them enough time. They are simply Europeans with another colour and cultural background. Nothing to really worry about. For others with a more highly developed sense of survival instinct, this scenario is the cause of grave concern. It’s simply a problem that has to be dealt with, whether we like it or not, and the fact that we’re starting to shed light on it, is a sign that we’re willing to do so. The first step of solving a problem is to admit that we’ve actually have one.

But there’s one scenario that hasn’t been debated to nearly the same extent, and that is how this eventual transformation from a Christian to an Islamic continent will manifest itself. Will it be a violent clash between the two cultures that will leave the continent in ruins? Will western Europe resemble war torn Chetchnya after the final battles have been fought? Or will it be a peaceful takeover, where the Europeans simply concede defeat and succumb to the stronger and much more aggressive tactics of the newcomers? Or will the Europeans rise up to this challenge and resist the onslaught from the invading Muslims, and eventually win this fight?

I believe there are six possible outcomes to this crisis.

1. The Muslims will win by sticking to democratic principles. Peaceful victory.

2. The Muslims will win by undemocratic principles. Terror campaigns and intimidation.

3. The native populations of Europe will revolt and defeat the Muslims. A revolt.

4. Major terrorist attacks will cause the governments in Europe to reconsider their position on muslim immigration, and start the deportations of muslims on a grand scale.

5. A coexistence between the two cultures, where both groups are given an equal status. Not a very likely scenario

6. An uneasy status quo, where immigration is curbed, and the muslims will forever be a minority.

At the present time alternative nr 1 looks like the most likely outcome, but of course things could change in a heartbeat. If there’s one thing that history has taught us, it is that rapid change is the norm rather than the exception. There’s no question that the liberal laws of the present European governments works in the muslims favor. All they have to do is sit back, act in accordance with the democratic principles in the societies they reside in, and high birthrates and the open border policies of the west will make them a majority within the next couple of generations. All they need to do is blend in and cease control when they’re strong enough to do so. But of course, there are several factors that needs to be brought into the equation. Political views that are considered the norm today can easily be discarded for more radical and pragmatic ideas in the future. We’ve witnessed liberal European governments introduce very tough immigration and asylum laws, others could follow suit.

So lets assume that things stay the way they are for the next thirty years. Let’s assume that the European governments decide to introduce tougher anti-discrimination laws, and clamp down on what they view as anti-muslim sentiments. Let’s also assume that they start persecuting people with opposing views on this issue. The immigration would then continue, and quite possibly accelerate, making it next to impossible to prevent muslims from becoming a majority in Europe. If this scenario was to take place, the question one would have to ask is, what kind of society would rise up from the ashes? Would we get a moderate form of Euro-Islam, like the proponents of the multicultural society hope for, where a relatively moderate muslim population would accept and tolerate other religions and values? Or would they, with or without democratic means, decide to introduce an Islamic caliphate, where Sharia law takes superiority over existing criminal laws?

Like many other people, I see the term Euro-Islam simply as a smokescreen that the elite use as a means to try and pacify the native populations of Europe. Let’s face it, muslims believe in the writings of the Holy Koran, and not in any utopic illusions that some non-believing bureaucrats in Europe may hold. It is my opinion that the muslims would use our undying belief in democracy against us if it came down to it, and simply point out the obvious, which would be, that they won the referendum fair and square and they’re going to introduce the Islamic caliphate whether we like it or not. And technically this would be within the boundaries of accepted democratic rules. What the majority decides, goes. The native Europeans would then have to decide whether to accept this new regime or not.

Alternative number two is also a likely outcome. We’ve seen the emergence of radical muslim elements in our societies that are advocating such a solution. We’ve had several devastating terrorist attacks within the last couple of years that has made us reconsider our believes that we live in free and open democratic societies. These attacks along with other forms of intimidation has already eroded some of our freedoms. We think twice about criticizing Islam in public, and we refrain from publishing any drawings that could be deemed offensive to the muslim community. There is no question in my mind that the results of the scare tactics are viewed as small victories among radical muslims, and only make them more determined to push forward with their plans for overthrowing our democratic societies.

It doesn’t take that much effort to subjugate the masses. And a small group of highly dedicated and trained individuals could easily wreak havoc on our societies if they so choose. If ordinary people feel that they’re putting their lives on the line just by venturing down to the local supermarket or by simply hopping on the tube to go to work, we’ve entered a very critical phase. If we end up with a spiral of violence in Europe on a similar magnitude of let’s say South Africa, where crime is a very real part of everyday life, we’ve entered a point of no return. How long could we survive in such a violent environment? The next natural progression would be a situation similar to the one we have in Iraq, a total breakdown of law and order. If the governments should prove unsuccessful in weeding out the insurgents in such an environment, which is the most likely scenario, would it be that unheard of for them to try an negotiate a truce? European politicians have been keen advocates of “land for peace” deals in other parts of the world. Would they consider such an option in Europe if the result would be a cessation of hostilities?

The third possible scenario would be the creation of armed European resistance groups. This is very plausible option. We’ve seen such groups operate in Europe before, both during and after the second world war. If people feel they’re being pushed too far, they’ll eventually start to push back. In the novel “Hvitvasking” (Money laundry) by Tom Kristiensen (Norwegian author), a clandestine group of Norwegian patriots plan to rid Norway of third world immigrants. The methods they rely upon are similar to those the terrorist use in present day Iraq, a war of intimidation and scare tactics. They try to create an environment so hostile and dangerous that the immigrants themselves choose to leave the country.

I believe this would be the tactic of choice, adopted by such resistance groups. It has proven highly successful in other parts of the world, such as Iraq and Sudan, just to mention a few. It is very hard to fight such unconventional guerilla groups, mostly because they can hide amongst the civilian population after they’ve carried out their attacks. It would also be very easy for them to identify members of the muslim population, but equally difficult for the muslims and the authorities to identify members of these resistance groups, simply because the members of these groups share the same ethnicity as the majority population in Europe. I am of the opinion that everyone sooner or later will succumb to these scare tactics, just like the native European population are intimidated by radical muslims at the present time, muslims would be equally intimidated by Europeans if they were targeted in a similar way. It would be a totally new experience for them.

The fourth possible scenario is one where terrorist attacks just becomes to frequent and the loss of lives too hard to tolerate, or that the elite themselves are being targeted by the terrorists. If we get frequent terrorist attacks on the same scale as 9/11 or even bigger, say the partial or total destruction of some of our major cities, it would next to impossible for European governments not to introduce radical measures to rid itself of this threat. If the number of terrorist attack victims reach into the tens of thousands, or possibly even hundreds of thousands, they would have to act. It is not unthinkable that mass deportation of muslims then would take place, and that the creation of detention camps, like the one at Guantanamo Bay would go ahead. If on the other hand, after incidents like these, some politicians still wouldn’t act, something that’s very unlikely, it would still create an ambience where more radical and pragmatic politicians would win landslide elections, and the execution of these plans would go ahead. I think ordinary peoples survival instinct would override any other human instincts, including any utopic reference to human rights and religious freedom.

A fifth scenario is a peaceful or hostile coexistence between the two cultures. Where both are granted equal status, and where the segregation, both culturally and demographic just increases. It would be a continuation of today’s status quo. This is not a very plausible scenario, because both cultures have shown their unwillingness to live under such unnatural conditions. Sooner or later one of the cultures would resort to undemocratic methods to exert their will over the other.

The sixth scenario is one where the governments of Europe finally see the dangers of the influx of immigrants, and ban immigration from third world countries altogether, but allow the ones that are already here to stay. This could be the result if the people in Europe elect radical right wing politicians into office. They then again, introduce tough new measures to stop the rapid growth of immigrants in Europe. Maybe they would go as far as introducing a one child policy for all third world immigrants, or resort to other economic sanctions to achieve this goal. They could possibly even ban Islam altogether in Europe, or at least ban the radical approach to the religion that the islamists follow. This would then lead to a situation where Europe forever would have an ethnic minority within its borders, a continuation of the present day situation. The muslims living in Europe could then of course choose to either sever all ties to their native countries and perhaps reform their religion, or still choose to cling on to their old culture and strive to change the system to their advantage.

No matter what happens to this continent, whether a full scale war breaks out or not, it’s going to get very nasty. I believe that a rapid deterioration will first occur in one nation, and then others will follow in its track, or chose to introduce countermeasures to prevent a similar fate. It is naive to expect that an atmosphere of tranquil coexistence is going to last forever here in Europe. War and hostilities have been the norm here, and not the exception. That’s probably also how it’s going to be in the future.

Imam convicted of rape loses appeal.

A forty one year old imam was earlier today sentenced to jail for two years and nine months, for raping a thirty year old woman at the Islamic Center in Kristiansand, in October 2004.

The case was first dismissed by the courts because of insufficient evidence, but that decision was overruled by the state prosecutors office when the woman’s attorney appealed the decision.

The imam was sentenced to jail for two and a half years in February this year, by the city court in Kristiansand. The imam appealed this verdict, but the Agder court of appeals found the him guilty today, according to local newspaper Fædrelandsvennen.

He was also ordered to pay the women 125 000 Nkr (approx $ 15 000 US) in damages.

The woman was standing outside a restaurant in the city centre of Kristiansand on the evening of the crime, when she was approached by the imam, who offered her consolation and tea. The two of them then proceeded to the Islamic Center in Kristiandsand, where, according to the verdict, the imam raped the woman.

The court considered it an aggravating factor that the suspect was an imam and a spiritual adviser, and pointed out that he should have understood that the victim was in a very vulnerable state at the time.

- I’m relieved and very happy that the court believed me. I am now finally ready to look ahead and focus on the future.-

The imam has fourteen days to appeal this verdict.

EU opponents furious at new textbook.

The Norwegian organization Nei til EU (No to the EU) are furious at Cappelen Forlag (Norwegian publishing company) for portraying opponents of a Norwegian EU membership as gnomes, and proponents as football heroes, in a new high-school textbook.

The chairman of Nei til EU, Heming Olaussen, says the book should be withdrawn from the market.

- It baffles me that a respectable publishing company such as Cappelen, seems to lack the ambition to explain why the Norwegian EU debate has become the biggest political question in the country, and a highly sensitive issue that has overturned governments, divided political parties and lead to two national referendums.-

In the new textbook, that will be on the curriculum in Norwegian schools in the future, pupils will see a drawing of a man dressed in a gnomes outfit holding a placard that reads “pollution prohibited”-

- I’m saddened to see that the fight against the EU is still linked to gnomes outfits and extreme environmentalism. This pictures has long since reached its expiration date.-

The EU is described in the following way in the new book.

- The work that’s being undertaken by the EU can be compared to the team effort of a football team. For a football team the aim is to win the match. For the EU the goal is to create a secure, stabile and democratic Europe.-

The indoctrination starts at an early age. Everybody knows that children are highly susceptible to propaganda, and are less likely to question this disinformation. That’s why the leftists/multiculturalists sink their claws into them as soon as they’ve reached school age.

By the way ...Here’s my description of Norwegian politicians who wants to bring us under EU legislation.
